Growers of quality plants
Our main strength is our constantly evolving range of unusual plants held in stock throughout the year and backed up by a wide selection of plants grown on site on our own nursery.
On display, you will find many unusual conifers (dwarf, ornamental, grafted and specimen types) along with a wide variety of hedging conifers in a range of sizes. We also have an impressive collection Japanese Acers in sizes ranging from miniature patio types to large specimens (7'-8' high in 25-45 litre pots). Many of our acer varieties have stunning autumn, summer/spring foliage colours ranging from golden yellow through to blood red often accompanied by coloured stems.
Increasingly gardens are planned for easy maintenance in conjunction with patios, decks, and conservatories where the use of specimen plants such as conifers, Japanese Acers, miniature trees, ornamental grasses, and choice evergreen shrubs are used to great effect. We stock a large range of container grown trees from miniature types suitable for small, compact gardens (mainly grafted on shorter stems) to the more traditional types such as larger maples, birches, crataegus (hawthorn), fagus (beech), laburnum, quercus(oak), sorbus (rowan), and numerous others.
A combination of traditional garden staples and more unusual shrubs are stocked in depth on site e.g. Weigela, Cornus canadensis, Euonymus alatus, Potentilla, Sambucus, Rhododendron, Sarcococca humilis etc. A large variety of roses is available particularly from early February through to early autumn. These include many varieties of hybrid tea and floribunda along with patio, climbing and shrub roses as well as a range of "celebration" and special occasion varieties.
