In addition to a comprehensive range of all the mainstays of the garden we have a large collection of more unusual shrubs. Our range is always changing as we endeavour to constantly update our selection and of course there is always something new or different which we just can't resist!
In stock at the moment are a number of flowering dogwoods.
Cornus florida 'Cherokee Chief'
Cornus florida 'Cherokee Sunset'
Cornus florida 'Elizabeth Lustgarten'
Cornus florida 'Purple Glory'
Cornus florida 'White Cloud'
Cornus kousa 'Chinensis'
Cornus kousa 'Milky Way'
Cornus kousa 'Satomi'
Shrubs we have added to our selection for 2010 include Hydrangea quercifolia (Oak-leaved hydrangea) the leaves of which are completely different to other hydrangea varieties. The autumn colour is also particularly good.
Philadelphus microphyllus looks set to be a popular addition due to its compact habit which makes it more suitable for smaller gardens. Weigela Pink Poppet is another shrub falling into this category with lovely soft pink flowers displayed over a long period.
We have a number of new additions to our climbing bench. Ampelopsis brevipedunculata which is a member of the vine family has come through the winter well. This is quite a vigorous climber with attractive foliage and unusual blue berries.
Our Wisteria are putting on plenty of new growth this month and we have a good selection including pink varieties (in addition to the more traditional lilac-blue).
