The Mill Garden Centre is a family-owned business situated in pleasant surroundings between the two cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow. We can be found just outside the town of Armadale, about four miles north of Junction 4 of the M8.
The main part of the garden centre is situated within the walls of the old mill building dating back to the 15th century, although modern technology ensures that even the outdoor plant areas can be fully covered in the case of poor weather. Expert advice is available and we are always happy to answer any questions that you may have.
We stock a wide range of plants and trees, a significant number of which are grown in our own adjacent nursery or sourced from elsewhere in Scotland wherever possible, ensuring that they are hardy enough for our climate.
As well as a large variety of roses, shrubs and conifers, plants available include heathers, trees, perennials, alpines and grasses as well as bedding and basket plants which are grown on site.
We not only sell pots which have been ready filled by our staff, but customers are also welcome to bring their own containers or hanging baskets to us and we will be happy to fill them according to their requirements. More unusual plant species are also available or can be easily sourced if not in stock.
We have a comprehensively-stocked shop with gardening accessroies, fertilisers, plant foods, pots of various shapes and sizes and many other extras which all types of gardeners may require.
